Promotion and advertising
Gloucester is not (yet) known as a destination for art.
We have to shout about it and people will come
Your poster
We need your poster design at least two months in advance of your event so that it is ready for inclusion in the Gate newsletter, our social media and the GCA website. Send your poster as a jpeg to contact@gloucestercontemporaryartists.art
Your poster will be promoted on the home page of the GCA website, our Gate social media (Facebook and Instagram), the monthly Gate newsletter, Art eBulletin and on the 'what's on at the Gate' poster that is displayed in the window of the Gate.
GCA website,
the Gate newsletter,
social media
the Gate ‘whats on’ poster, Art eBulletin
If you have a flyer for your show you can put copies in the Gate art space two to three weeks beforehand.
Spread the word
Our Instagram posts automatically copy to our Facebook page.
Advertise to your friends, followers and customers on your website and social media – they have already shown they are interested in your work and they are more likely to come to your show.
When you post on your own Instagram page be sure to tag both @the gate art space and @gloucestercontemporaryartists as collaborators. This will send a message to the Marketing Team who will be able to review and accept your invitation. Once accepted your post will appear both on your own account and on ‘thegateartspace’. Likes and comments will appear on both.
(Invitations to collaborate will be accepted at the discretion of the admin team and if the content fits with the flow of messages the team have planned. )
Collaborate
Don’t forget you can also advertise on your local area noticeboards such as Facebook and Next Door and any neighbourhood WhatsApp groups you are part of.
The following links, are for FREE advertising. Other sites do exist but they may not be free.
Any suggestions, email contact@gloucestershirecontemporaryartists.art and mark it FAO Cathy Steed.
