I retired in 2022 which allowed me to concentrate on my passion for art and join an art class producing work in so many different media that I had not used before and loved it. Gradually I set up my studio, now bursting with art supplies, and many pieces of my work. Then I was getting commissions and requests to buy my work. This gave me the kick and confidence to do more and now finally join The GCA . I love photorealism in the world of art and love detail, but always on close inspection, prefer it to be viewed not as a photo but a piece of art that has taken many hours of love and dedication. My happy place is now always with a paint brush, pencil or fineliner in my hand, even when on holiday I can't survive without my art kit.
I studied 3D design in ceramics at Gloucester college for 2 years (and taught students), and also achieved A level 3D design while working as an Art Technician at St Peter's High School 2005- 2022.
