Nigel Brown

Painter
I like to paint but I do not want to paint like a photograph. I began painting with sticks and fingers as a result of my brushes wearing out. I just turned them around and carried on. Scraping and scratching, using my fingers like I was drawing in charcoal. Using fingers is direct and the contact of paint to canvas has an immediate response. It goes up your arm and overrides any considered thought. When you sign your name does it matter if you can't read it?
