I’ve always been fascinated by nature and the ever changing shape and colours formed by the combination of the land, sky and sea, particularly those produced from the morning and evening light.

My paintings are not always portraits of particular places, more an attempt to distill a memory of a space with its light and atmosphere therefore leaving them open to other interpretations and perceptions.

My colourful abstract paintings are often inspired by the local scenery that I’ve observed from my love of walking in the countryside. I’m also passionate about the sea, and frequent visits to Cornwall have been the inspiration behind many of my seascapes.
