Cathy Steed

Cathy became interested in exploring glass as a medium in 2004 and studied at Bristol School of Art. She loves the connection between techniques that have been in use since medieval times and contemporary design.

She uses a variety of glass finishing techniques, specialising in leaded stained glass. Many of her pieces include hand painted or fused detail.

Cathy undertakes commissions for architectural stained glass and decorative hangings and offers stained glass and fusing courses in her studio in Gloucester. These give her an opportunity to share her love of glass and pass on the skills to others.
